Southwest Community of Motion Picture Artists is founded by members who believe film is a community of like-minded individuals who want to help others grow. Using a community-based structure, we offer learning opportunities for many fields in film - from acting to camera to writers - and help mentor new individuals and open a door for them in a closed door community.
We are an independent 501(c)3 Non Profit Corporation that believes in the power of film to change lives. Our goal is to build a strong base of skilled people right here in the Heart of Texas and produce films that make a difference.
Because we are supported by donations from the general public and SCOMPA members, we are able to:
